Sir Hamid was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1976 and conferred the dignity of Knighthood for services to the legal profession in 1986.
Sir Hamid has appeared before all jurisdictions in Mauritius as well as in Seychelles and other jurisdictions in the Indian Ocean Rim countries. He appears regularly before the Privy Council. In the immediate past he has acted as Chairman of the LCIA / MIAC arbitrations Board. Sir Hamid has furthermore participated as Arbitrator or Counsel in several arbitrations, both domestic and international.

Salim Moollan KC has been in private practice as a Barrister at the Chambers of Sir Hamid Moollan KC, Mauritius, and at Essex Court Chambers, London and then Brick Court Chambers, London, since 1998. He specialises in international and commercial law, and in particular investment and commercial arbitration. Nandkishore has appeared before all the jurisdictions of Mauritius from the District Courts to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council where he regularly appears either as junior or lead counsel. He also appears for and advises banks, insurance companies and the Medical Council of Mauritius.

Jennifer has a broad civil practice with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation and arbitration. She has appeared before all courts of Mauritius including the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council where she appeared in the cases of Toumany v Veerasamy [2012] UKPC 13 and CIEL Ltd v Central Water Authority [2022] UKPC 2. She has also appeared in both domestic and international arbitrations.

Raza joined Chambers following his call to the Mauritian Bar in January 2021.
